Before You Apply
Minimum graduate from any discipline. Social Work, Sociology, Management, and development backgrounds especially suited. Working professionals with 2+ years of social sector experience may be considered at the Director's discretion. Marathi language support is available.
Concurrent fieldwork means field practice runs every week alongside classroom theory — not a block placement at the end. Every Friday and alternate Saturdays are dedicated to fieldwork. Each learner experiences a minimum of 4 different settings over 6 months.
There is no mid-term exam. Assessment is multi-modal: 40% theory (CIA assignments + one final exam in Week 23), 40% fieldwork (records + supervisor ratings + viva in Week 24), 10% attendance and journal, 10% viva and seminars. Minimum 40% in each component; 50% aggregate for the diploma.
Yes. Many universities credit DASWDM fieldwork hours for MSW advanced standing. This diploma also qualifies for MBA programmes in Social Innovation (IIM Udaipur, XIMB, TISS, Azim Premji University), PG Diploma in CSR from IICA, and GRI Certified Sustainability Professional certifications.
A field-grounded research project of 5,000–10,000 words investigating a real social problem observed during fieldwork. Primary data collection is mandatory. Topics include CSR implementation gaps, ESG disclosure quality, community organisation, and gender and development.
There is no placement guarantee. The Foundation organises a formal placement event at the end of each batch, open to CSR heads, NGO directors, and HR managers. Reference letters are provided to graduates with a minimum A grade. Career outcomes depend on individual performance and learner effort.
